Graduation ceremony Scheduled for June 6

Mineral Wells Family,

It is with great excitement that we announce we will be hosting an in-person graduation for the MWISD graduating class of 2020 on June 6, 2020 at 9:00 AM at Ram Stadium. We want to acknowledge and thank the governor’s office for allowing in-person graduations with certain health and safety restrictions, along with social distancing requirements. Be advised, the executive order guidance allowing for outdoor in-person graduations after June 1 is subject to change as underlying public health conditions change.

Alternative arrangements for private, individual ceremonies will be available for graduates who are not comfortable with participating in the corporate in-person graduation ceremony.

This graduation will be as normal as we can make it, but there will be certain things that are different, including limiting guests (6 per graduate). For those family members and friends unable to attend in person, the ceremony will be live streamed on district social media. Additional details about the graduation ceremony will be shared later this week.

Thank you for your patience as we have all been waiting for guidance on what will be allowed and have developed a plan to make this as safe as possible for everyone. We ask for everyone’s cooperation during this ceremony as we endeavor to protect the health and safety of our learning community while honoring our Ram graduates.
